On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, will lead a high-level delegation from the Kingdom of Bahrain, set to participate in the upcoming World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026, to be held in Davos, Switzerland from 19 to 23 January 2026.
Bahrain’s delegation comprises prominent figures, including HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat); HE Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB); HE Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce; HE Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of Mumtalakat; Hamad Al Mahmeed, Director General of the Prime Minister’s Office; Yusuf Buhejji, Undersecretary for Research and Projects in the Prime Minister’s Office, Sara Buhejji, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority; HE Iain Lindsay OB OBE, Advisor to the Board at Bahrain EDB; Khalid Taqi, Chairman of Gulf Air Group; and several officials from the public and private sectors.
The Forum, under the theme ‘A Spirit of Dialogue,’ will bring together a diverse group of leaders and stakeholders to address global economic challenges in response to geopolitical, economic, and societal shifts.
The Forum is expected to convene with more than 3,000 global leaders from over 130 countries, representing governments, international organisations, leading multinational companies, emerging innovators, academia, and civil society.
During the Forum, Bahrain’s delegation will participate in a series of meetings, roundtable discussions, and high-level sessions with global decision-makers, investors, and industry leaders. These engagements will spotlight the Kingdom’s strategic priorities, including sustainable economic growth and diversification, talent development, fostering innovation, and reinforcing Bahrain’s position as a competitive and forward-looking hub for investment.
