Purapipe Launches USD 60 Million Global Testing and Assembly Hub in Bahrain to Advance Smart Pipeline Infrastructure

Manama, Bahrain – November 02, 2025: Purapipe, a Switzerland-headquartered technology development company pioneering smart and sustainable pipeline systems, has announced the establishment of its Global Test Facility and Assembly Hub for Mobile Pipeline Production Units (MPPU) in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The announcement was made during Gateway Gulf 2025, the region’s premier investment forum, held at the Four Seasons Hotel from November 2nd to 3rd, 2025.

With a total investment of USD 60 million, the new hub is located at the Bahrain International Investment Park, representing a key milestone in Purapipe’s global expansion and reflecting its confidence in Bahrain’s position as a leading destination for advanced manufacturing and clean technology investment.

Purapipe’s patented next-generation systems and digital platforms enhance the way water and energy infrastructure are designed, built, and maintained. Its mobile and automated production model enables pipelines to be assembled directly at project sites, reducing transportation requirements, material waste, and environmental impact.

The Bahrain facility will serve as a global centre for testing, assembly, and technology validation, supporting pilot programs across the GCC and Europe — including a collaboration with Gas Networks Ireland. These initiatives will prepare the ground for full commercial deployment of Purapipe’s technology in 2026, advancing the transition towards smarter, more resilient infrastructure networks.

Nick Cochrane-Dyet, Chairman of the Board of Purapipe, said: “Bahrain offers the ideal environment for innovation and regional integration. Its strategic location, supportive ecosystem, and strong industrial base make it the right choice for our Global Test and Assembly Hub. This investment reflects our long-term commitment to advancing smart infrastructure and contributing to sustainable growth.”

Beyond its operational role, the Bahrain hub will act as a platform for knowledge exchange, research collaboration, and skills development. The company plans to partner with regional water and energy stakeholders to drive applied innovation, while also training and upskilling Bahraini professionals in automation, materials science, and digital systems.

With existing operations in the UAE and a growing presence across Europe and the GCC, Purapipe’s Bahrain hub will play a central role in expanding the company’s global network and accelerating the deployment of cutting-edge infrastructure solutions worldwide.
