Highly-skilled local workforce
Bahrain has a well-trained workforce, and English is the business language.
Many Bahrainis are employed in financial, business and professional services, Information Communication Technology (ICT) and high-value-added manufacturing. Businesses thereby reduce spending on expatriate packages.
Bahraini women are represented in most professions. 30% of nationals in the financial sector are women, and around 25% overall.
Bahrain continues to upgrade the workforce. The Government consults the private sector to identify the needs of the labour market.
